Get ready Mini Makers! MISTER MAKER is coming back with his brilliant, fun and interactive live show, and we have tickets for every State to giveaway!
The show is packed full of arty adventures and there’ll be a big ‘make’ for everyone to take part in, super songs to join in with, a fabulous supporting cast and of course we can’t forget The Shapes!
We had a chat with Phil Gallagher (aka Mister Maker) in the lead up to his Australian tour.

Can you tell us a bit about the Mister Maker and the Shapes Live on Stage! tour? We are so proud to be bringing our show back to Australia – it is a big, bright, bold and happy live show, celebrating creativity and fun! We have new makes for you – the production has art at its heart but also includes a lot of the things that make live theatre exciting – singing, dancing, audience interaction…and The Shapes!!! I hope everyone that comes to see the show has a wonderful time (and is surprised by my dance moves!).
Mini Reporter, Alegría would like to know:
What you are making on your show? Is it a bird, or something paint-ish or something that will pop up? Mini Makers and grown-ups will be asked to join us on stage to get arty and play games…plus there is a big make that everyone in the audience can help Mister Maker with.
Do the Doodle Draws sometimes run out of craft stuff? Not yet – let’s hope that doesn’t happen in the middle of the live show!!!
Mister Maker, what is your middle name? I don’t have one – First name Mister, second name Maker!
Are you going to make videos of Mister Maker when you are in Australia? Not this time…we are here for our biggest live show yet…and The Shapes are ready to dance!
You and the Shapes travel around the world a lot, what do you do when you are not making something? I am away from home a lot, so seeing my family is important to me. I go walking with my Dad…or have a cup of tea with Mum! I love watching football and cricket but don’t get much time to do it these days. My local soccer team from the UK is Gillingham (in English League One) and I try to watch as many games as I can, home and away.
What are you looking forward to most whilst touring Australia? Amazing people, amazing food, amazing places to visit…and very loud audiences!
Do you have any tips for travelling? Drink plenty of water and have lots of 80s classics on your music player.
Do you have any special causes that you support? I support lots of wonderful charities & community events back in the UK – please give a shout out to my local Hospital Radio Medway – based where I was born, in Gillingham, Kent.

I’d take my three beautiful young daughters to see Mister Maker. I heard him recently on the radio during an interview, and he sounds so lovely, and really makes children feel special. This would be an amazing show (and would give me some great ideas too!!)

This would be the best!! My 3yo and 2yo girls would love this. Each week I bring home a minimum of 8 pieces of art work from my 3 year olds kinder. For Mother’s Day she said she loves my because I do art work with her!! 😄

My 5 year has been watching Mr Maker for 2 years now. She loves doing arts n crafts. I have a 2 year old who has started to watch the show too. Melbourne is our place be nice to take them to this as we don’t get to go out often due to finances..

I’m a single parent dad who has kids home on school holidays who I would love to take to see mister maker. The kids go crazy and arty and crafty each afternoon after mister makers shows. Being a single parent makes events like these hard but when competitions like these come about a little hope is given 😊 hoping to attend yr Melbourne show with my kid lets

We would love to take our 2.5 year old to go see “Dida Dida” (mister maker). He is super obsessed with the show. We have MM on dvd (travels around the world), Stan (comes to town) and Netflix (normal version). Is there any other versions of mister maker? I think i know every episode. We are also having a Mister Maker themed birthday party in november. He is in love with the shapes.

I have 4 little craft loving mini makers who just LOVE Mr Maker!! We recently got back from travelling across the country in a caravan and we are still living in it while we wait for our house… so this would be a very special treat and something the kids would really treasure.
