Kidding Around Australia are looking for nature playgroup facilitators for THE BUSH BUS in Victoria that have experience working with children and families.

ABOUT THE BUSH BUS

THE BUSH BUS is a mobile nature playgroup that welcomes everyone with children aged from 0 – 6 years old to play freely in a bush or park setting. Children will participate in activities such as nature inspired arts and crafts, water, mud and puddle play, sensory imaginative play and educational nature walks and talks to uncover the indigenous flora and fauna of their local area.

THE BUSH BUS playgroups are FREE and will be conducted in a relaxed and informal space where parents, carers, babies and children can come together in a friendly and inclusive environment.

FACILITATOR POSITIONS

We are looking for passionate and energetic facilitators to assist with the running of THE BUSH BUS mobile playgroup sessions in Wallan, Broadford, Mickleham, Tarneit and Mambourin.

We are looking for people that share our love of nature play and are committed to being part of an amazing team that care deeply about the communities we work in, the families we meet and the land in which we play. Full training will be provided.

You will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, a can do attitude and be physically fit (you won’t need to run but you will need to be able to pick up heavy objects and go on walks!). You will love children and the outdoors, be responsible, respectful, honest, have a great sense of humour, be resilient and passionate about getting families back into nature and connecting communities. You won’t mind getting wet, muddy and dirty!

Ideally, you will already have a current Level 2 First Aid certificate; police check and working with children check however don’t let that stop you from applying if you don’t. If you are right for the job we can work that out prior to you starting.

The successful applicants will be able to commit to this position for at least one year and are required to start training and working immediately. Work hours are generally from 9.00am-12.00pm (however some locations are longer days but we are always back for school pickup).

Work Type: Casual
Hours available: 2-3 shifts per week depending on individual preferences and operational requirements. Days and locations will vary. Average 3 hour shift.
Pay Rate/s: Will be discussed at interview, however you will be paid as per the Miscellaneous Award rate.
Location: Various locations in Victoria
